Emergency Diesel Generator Sets
Ratings: 7.6 kW - 2,000 kW
了解更多 +Emergency Generator Sets refer to the power generation system that can start or self-start quickly to restore power supply in emergency or in case of blackout due to accident and maintenance. When fast start-up and supreme reliability really matters, diesel engines have always been the technology of choice. It is precisely because of the stability, reliability, less auxiliary equipment and fast start-up of diesel engines that diesel generator sets are mostly used in emergency ones. It is mainly used in hospitals, civil aviation, communications, transportation, power stations, high-rise buildings and special product manufacturers that cannot interrupt power supply.
In the event of an emergency, the emergency generator set can quickly recover and extend a period of power supply. However, communication equipment, computer systems, instrumentation, and special product production, which have strict requirements on power outage time, should be powered by batteries or UPS in addition to the generator set.
Classification of Emergency generator sets:
1. The sets can be classified according to their purpose, including Stationary emergency generator sets, Mobile emergency generator sets (namely Mobile generator sets), and Marine emergency generator sets. Among them, Stationary emergency generator sets are classified by function into Emergency diesel generator sets, Black start diesel generator sets and Nuclear emergency diesel generator sets, etc.
2. According to engine speed, Emergency gensets can be classified into high-speed emergency generator sets (speed ≥1200 r/min), and medium-speed emergency generator sets (speed from 720 to 750 r/min).
The characteristics of emergency generator sets:
1. Emergency, continuous working time is short, generally only need to run for several hours (≤12h).
2. Standby, emergency generator set is usually in standby state, only when the main power supply fails, The emergency generator set starts to run and supplies emergency power load. When the main power supply returns to normal, it will switch off.
