Marine Power refers to the complete set of power system equipment that provides navigation thrust, various operational and living energy for ships. It is the core component of a ship, including the main power unit (propulsion system), auxiliary power unit, and other supporting auxiliary machinery and equipment. We are currently accelerating the iteration towards green, low-carbon, and intelligent direction.
Types of Marine Power:
■ Marine internal combustion engines, including Marine fuel oil engines (i.e. Marine diesel engines), Marine gas engines, and Marine dual fuel engines. Among them, Marine fuel oil engines are the most widely used and have high thermal efficiency, occupying an absolute numerical advantage in modern transport ships.
■ Marine gas turbines, with high power and light weight, are commonly used in high-speed military vessels.
■ Marine steam turbines, commonly used in large passenger ships in the early days, have gradually been replaced by diesel engines.
■ Marine nuclear power, which uses steam generated by nuclear fission to drive steam turbines, is mainly used for warships, icebreakers, and large submarines.
■ Special propulsion power: including electric propulsion, water jet propulsion, full rotation pod propulsion, etc., suitable for different working conditions.
The Marine power products provided by SOAR Group include Marine propulsion engines, Marine generator sets, Marine auxiliary engines, and Monitoring systems, with applications ranging from yachts to commercial transportation and ocean going vessels.
